Background Checks

Who must be fingerprinted?
All employees and contracted personnel who have unsupervised access to students for whom the foundation is responsible must undergo a state and national background screening. Effective July 1, 2007, employees and contracted personnel must submit fingerprints electronically, s. 1002.421(2)(i), F.S.

Do volunteers have to be fingerprinted?
No, fingerprinting of volunteers is not required by statute. ss. 1002.421(2)(i) and 943.0542, F.S.  The Conrad Education Foundation requires a fingerprint background check on any volunteers with unsupervised access to any student.
